Tube Feeders

Seed Tube Bird Feeder, 17" Black

Tube style bird feeders come in several different sizes.  Basic tube feeders have seed ports that are large enough to dispense sunflower seeds and are attractive to many seed-eating birds.

Another type of tube feeder has small ports and will only accomodate the smallest seeds or sunflower chips.  Other types of tube style bird feeders are specifically designed for goldfinches, and the perches are actually above the feeding ports, requiring the goldfinches to feed upside down.

Here are some of the tube style bird feeders available:

Perky Pet 337 Squirrel-Be-Gone III Feeder.  The Perky-Pet® Squirrel-Be-Gone Wild Bird Feeder III features 9 feeding ports, U-shaped perches, 3 separate seed tubes that allow for a variety of seed types and holds 8 lbs. of seed. The interior seed tower is surrounded by rustic metalwork. The feeding ports have sturdy metal perches that allow birds to feed comfortably-but, when the squirrels perch on them, their weight causes the entire metal casing to slip down, completely blocking the feeding ports and their access to the seed.
