We’re Changing our Site!

At Backyard Bird Feeders, our goal is to present you with the best, most accurate information available, in an attractive, easy to read format.

Over the past year, we have posted many different products to our blog, however, we felt that the end result was jumbled, confusing, and difficult to navigate.  Therefore, as of today, we have deleted all of the entries that we felt were not up to the standards that we have set for ourselves.

In the future, this space will be used for more indepth reviews, tips for feeding your backyard birds, and other information about backyard bird feeding, backyard bird watching, and more!

Thank you for visiting our blog!

And, please, come back soon as we will be announcing even more changes and improvements to Backyard Bird Feeders this week!

Feeders for Back Yard Bird Watching

Think choosing the right bird feeders for back yard bird watching is as easy as going to your local big box store and picking up a bird feeder and some seed?   Yes, you will attract some birds this way, but the birds that come to your feeder may not be the birds that you’re expecting!

In certain parts of the country, you’ll find your bird feeder attracts nothing but blackbirds, or even worse, giant crows!  And, these birds tend to run off the smaller, more colorful songbirds that most people want frequenting the feeder.

Before you run out and buy just any feeder, study the birds that are native to your area, and decide which ones you most want to attract, and then buy the feeder!
